Kayaks to use

I have five sit-on top kayaks with paddles (duh!). You can “rent” one or all of these for an outing. These are self-bailing kayaks, which means they are impossible to sink and you don’t need to know how to do a flip-over. The kayaks are stored at our home in the Capay valley, so would be ideal for a trip on Cache Creek, Solano Lake Park, or Clear Lake, further up the road. I have two life jackets, suitable for a small to medium adult. If you need more life jackets, you would need to arrange them yourself. I also have a separate post for a guided kayak trip.

About camilla

I am a nature-lover and science teacher. I recently moved to the Capay Valley (45 minutes from Davis) but have been visiting it for years. I like kayaking and river-rafting Cache Creek. I keep bees, worms, lizards, a snake, and usually chickens. I especially like foraging for wild foods and items to use in my science classes. I am proud of a nonprofit I founded: Classrooms Across Cultures (classroomsacrosscultures.org) through which I travel to Afghanistan and train teachers in hands-on science. In summer 2010, I will be making my 9th trip to Afghanistan.
